Scandal has descended on the prestigious Duke University of North Carolina, in the USA, after a ‘sex thesis’ complied by a senior student of the University went viral on the internet.
The 43-page list, which included the names and photographs of 13 of student Karen Owen’s sexual partners, consisted of detailed ‘field reports’, ratings, and graphs. It was presented in the form of a senior honours thesis and ‘submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the Degree in Tempestuous Frolicking’. The ‘thesis’ focused on Duke athletes for its subject, in particular members of the men’s Lacrosse team, which was recently involved in another scandal when several team members were falsely accused of rape.
