Death at Unipol Recreation Centre

A 24-year old student died whilst using a cross trainer at the Unipol recreation centre on Wednesday March 30. The death occurred around 9.30pm in the upstairs cardio room of the facility.
Students present at Unipol during the incident told Critic that the unnamed female student reportedly collapsed during a workout. An ambulance was called and CPR administered but the student could not be revived.

Unipol is co-owned by OUSA, OPSA and the University.

Both Unipol and the University declined to talk to Critic about the incident. Critic understands the death is being investigated by the authorities.
